Help me with breaking a contract

Anonymous post: "I NEED to get out of my contract. I am a hospital employed OBGYN. I hate my job. I have one year left. Not sure I can make it that long. The issue is I have an income guarantee for 3 years. This is the beginning of year 3. HELP! I literally cannot wait another year. Does the income guarantee mean I have to pay the hospital back? I also have a non compete but I don't care much since I would probably do locums for a bit. How can I get out of my contract without penalty? I'm so lost."

From my viewpoint, Andwise should flag any contract that doesn't have a 90 day no fault termination agreement.

There is no easy answer to this question. It depends on the specific contract you have with the hospital and the state in which you practice. You should consult with an attorney to determine your options and see if you can get out of your contract without penalty.
If you have an income guarantee, the hospital may require you to pay back some or all of the money if you leave early. Non-compete clauses can also be difficult to get around, so you may need to consult with an attorney to see if you can get out of your contract without penalty.
It is possible to get out of a contract, but it may be difficult and you may have to pay a penalty. You should consult with an attorney to determine your best course of action.
